Overview of the business
The environment surrounding universities is changing drastically, such as the further decline in the 18-year-old population, the arrival of the era of 100-year lifespans, Society 5.0 due to the sophistication of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and the progress of globalization. University staff are required to have the ability to steer accurately with an eye on the next generation, to accurately analyze changes in the environment and the needs of society, reflect them in organizational decision-making, and lead to the realization of social missions such as education, research, and social contribution.
This SD seminar is mainly targeted at young and mid-career employees, and aims to develop human resources who will lead the next generation of each university. The decisive difference from the SD program conducted at a single university is that it is a place of "cross-border learning" where human resources of similar ages gather from national, public, private universities and junior colleges, work hard together over a long period of several months, and strong interaction occurs. In addition, it differs from other similar programs in that it has public presentations and graduation reports, and instead of "keep trying" or "listening," it is firmly summarized as policy recommendations (business improvement proposals for the workplace, new business proposals, etc.), and there are several support mechanisms for that purpose.
Alumni have commented on specific achievements and changes in behavior, such as "I was able to build a network with other university staff that I can connect with throughout my life," "I was able to relearn the basic knowledge of higher education," "I was able to collect information, summarize information, and make recommendations based on facts and logic," and "I became interested in higher education in general and began to read various reports and industry publications."
It's only a few months, maybe a few months. We hope that you will take on the challenge as a step to improve yourself, gain strength, and enrich your life as a university employee.
