The 20th Kyoto Student Festival was held face-to-face for the first time in three years on Sunday, October 9. Although the event was shortened due to rainy weather, it was a great success with a large number of visitors and viewers. We believe that we were able to hold this festival safely thanks to the support and cooperation of everyone involved on a daily basis. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The 20th Kyoto Student Festival Theme
About the theme
Feeling grateful to have been able to build the long history of the Kyoto Student Festival, he expresses his feelings in a new way. This does not mean a simple regression, but rather events that took place in the past and past Kyo Flame Sodefure! We aim to challenge new things based on the past, such as performances, projects with OBOG, and companies that have sponsored and cooperated.
I would like to express my gratitude for the fact that the student organization Kyoto Student Festival has continued until the 20th edition. The gratitude we feel "blooms" as a large flower, and we "shout" so that the feeling of gratitude reaches many people.

The 20th Kyoto Student Festival Annual Activities
The executive committee interacts with the Okazaki area, the venue of the Kyoto Student Festival, and local people who have been connected through past activities, expressing their gratitude on a daily basis and building a cooperative relationship for this festival.
Odori performance and visiting class
This year, I had the opportunity to perform at the closing ceremony of the Junior Chamber of Japan Kyoto Conference and KBS Kyoto events. In addition, we conducted more than 10 visiting classes at elementary and junior high schools and support schools in Kyoto Prefecture.
Community Exchange
Continuing from last year, we participated as a student volunteer at children's cafeterias in the Okazaki area and participated in night patrols for the safety of the community. Compared to last year, we were able to expand the area and number of volunteer activities, deepened exchanges with local people, and it was an opportunity for many Kyoto people to learn about the Kyoto Student Festival.
International Exchange
We held an exchange party for international students, exchanged opinions on the culture and charms of their home countries, and danced "Kyo Flame Sodefure!", an original creative dance of the Kyoto Student Festival, to deepen exchanges. In addition, we were able to provide opportunities to interact with people who had evacuated from Ukraine, which led to opportunities to think deeply about peace.
Environmental Activities
We actively carried out cleanup activities, such as picking up garbage on the riverbed of the Kamogawa River and cleaning activities in the Okazaki area, which is used for this festival.
