Every year, please register as soon as possible due to its great popularity! As
the globalization of higher education accelerates, such as the enhancement of support for international students and the promotion of collaborative projects with overseas universities, it can be said that the time has finally arrived when the English proficiency of university faculty and staff is indispensable as a basic ability.
The training program of the University Consortium Kyoto aims not only to improve the English proficiency of the faculty and staff of member schools that can cope with such times, but also to raise the awareness of language learning in the future.

TOEIC Listening & Reading Strategy Seminar Lecturers: Kyoto Sangyo University Ms. Atsuko Nishitani and Ms . Maho Sano Instructors with extensive experience in TOEIC preparation will tell you how to efficiently improve your TOEIC score. In the morning, we will focus on the reading section (Part 5~7) and in the afternoon on the listening section (Part 1~4), we will introduce frequent patterns and effective learning methods and practice them. |

Active-Learning for English-speaking Classroom Lecturer: Mikako Nishikawa Mainly for teachers. Students will learn various know-how and skills to conduct classes in "English" using AL. Teachers take the initiative in a "practice-type" course in which teachers take the initiative in a "seminar-type" class using simulated classes and ICT, such as interactive classes using instructions in English and participatory classes based on materials from flipped classrooms. I would also like to invite teachers who are worried about teaching in English to participate. |

Cross-cultural Manners and English Communication in Higher Institutions Lecturer: Mikako Nishikawa For staff involved in international education related work at universities. Mannerisms and ways of communicating vary greatly from culture to culture. In this course, students will deepen their understanding of cultural diversity, communication styles, and business manners in order to respond to the increase in international students and foreign researchers. Through role plays and PBL (problem-solving exercises) in various situations, we aim to improve communication skills in English. |
